Vivian's watch says her heart races every night while she sleeps. Her therapist says it's trauma. Her mother says it's drama. But the handprints on the bedroom wall say something else — and so do the memories that aren't hers: a ritual on a cliff, spirals painted in ash, a promise spoken across lifetimes.

As the wall between her lives thins, Vivian is pulled toward the truth beneath her town's steaming springs — a vow made in her first life, a soul broken into pieces, and a loop of deaths that has followed her for centuries. To end it, she must walk the Hall of Lives, face the man beneath the cloak, and decide what her first vow really meant.
